April Radiant Roundup

Tomorrow we enter into Holy Week, with the Sacred Triduum and Easter Sunday just around the corner. Here's the Radiant Roundup for the month, filled with resources for the whole Season of Easter, the month of the Holy Spirit, and Saint Feast Days for April!

Holy Week Journals

This Holy Week Journal is a long time favorite on the blog! It is so versatile that you can use it with almost any age. With pages for every day of Holy Week from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday, it includes the Gospel reading, writing/drawing prompts, and room to journal and draw.

It would be a perfect companion for kids to take along with them to all of the liturgies, or a tool to use at home as you observe the week together as a family.

And this journal is available in English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese!

April Book List

One of my very favorite things to do is recommending Catholic books for kids. This month's book list has books for Holy Week, Easter, the Holy Spirit, and Saints of April.

There are so many wonderful books that help teach the beauty of the Paschal Mystery, even without being specific "Easter" books. Those are all included in this list but are good reads for any time of the year.

I hope that it is a helpful resource when planning for lessons, shopping for gifts, or browsing at the library.

Heart of the Revival Newsletter

I'm honored to be a contributor for the Heart of the Revival, the newsletter of the National Eucharistic Revival. The USCCB is calling us as a nation- dioceses, parishes, and individuals- to renew our devotion to Jesus, Truly Present in the Holy Eucharist.

This month I wrote about using Visio Divina as a method of praying with Sacred Art. Included in the article is a set of a dozen beautiful images of the events of Holy Week, as well as a Visio Divina Guide and kid friendly discussion questions (in both English and Spanish).  You can read the full article here.

50 Ways to Celebrate the 50 Days

Easter Sunday is on April 9th, but the Season of Easter lasts for 50 Days!

This collection has fifty ideas for keeping the celebration going throughout the whole season. I've pulled together lots of great ideas from other Catholic makers, so it is a mix of crafts, lessons, videos, recipes, activities and more!
