March Radiant Roundup

March is the month of St. Joseph. This month's Radiant Roundup features tons of ideas to celebrate and learn about the Guardian of the Holy Family! It's almost time to start the St. Joseph Novena- I have a Color-A-Novena to help you remember to pray each day!

Sleeping Saint Joseph

Have you heard of the devotion to Sleeping St. Joseph? He received several dreams with messages from God, listened, and promptly acted. From taking Mary as his wife to fleeing Bethlehem to save Jesus from King Herod, Joseph was a man of action obedient to the will of God.

You may have seen one of these Sleeping St. Joseph statues- it is customary to ask St. Joseph to pray for your intentions by writing them down and slipping the paper under the statue of St. Joseph.

I have a whole collection of resources about Sleeping St. Joseph, including a printable "statue" you can make and add your own intention to!

March Book List

One of my very favorite things to do is recommending Catholic books for kids. This month's book list has books for St. Joseph, Lent and March Saints.

Included in this list is a link to a post with some of my favorite Stations of the Cross books for kids- complete with interior photos and what I like about each of them. It's a great post to narrow down options for the best tool when praying the Stations with your kids or students!

I hope that it is a good resource when planning for lessons, shopping for gifts, or browsing at the library.

Heart of the Revival Newsletter

I'm honored to be a contributor for the Heart of the Revival, the newsletter of the National Eucharistic Revival. The USCCB is calling us as a nation- dioceses, parishes, and individuals- to renew our devotion to Jesus, Truly Present in the Holy Eucharist. This month I wrote about the gift of offering our Mass for a specific intention, and share some printables to help make that practical and purposeful for kids. You can read the full article here.

A Visual Litany of Saint Joseph

A couple of years ago, I had the privilege of working with a group of ten artists to create a unique Litany of St. Joseph: one new piece of art each day, all inspired by a line from the Litany, and each created from a block carving (either lino or wood). The result was an incredible collection of prints, unique to each artist but united in love for the Guardian of the Redeemer.

In this blog post, I showcase the final collection of 31 original pieces of art, and I share free printables of my six prints.

Saintly Friends & Heavenly Heroes Article at NCR

I've got a new article over at the National Catholic Register outlining ideas for helping kids grow in friendship with the Saints. The spread on Sacramental living also includes articles from Kendra Tierney and Susanna Spencer.
