Muito recentemente tive o primeiro contacto com a Klairs através da Wishtrend. Na semana passada apresentei o famoso "blue cream" e, desta vez, quero-vos falar do Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop, um serum ideal para quem, como eu, está sempre à procura de uma ajudinha extra na prevenção de manchas de acne e no tratamento das mesmas. Os benefícios da vitamina C são muitos!


I recently had the first contact with Klairs (thanks to Wishtrend). Last week I spoke about the famous "blue cream" and this time I want to talk about the Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop, an ideal serum for those who, like me, are always looking for an extra help in preventing acne spots and treating them. The benefits of vitamin C are many!

The Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop

Klair says,

Vitamin C

O bom de experimentar e conhecer novos produtos é que estamos constantemente a aprender mais sobre os ingredientes e as suas funções. A Vitamina C funciona como um antioxidante que ajuda a regenerar outros antioxidantes no organismo. Sabemos que é uma vitamina importante na nossa saúde, mas os benefícios para a pele também são muitos. Tais como:

  • Trata queimaduras e feridas;
  • Trata queimaduras solares;
  • Ajuda no tratamento do eczema;
  • Protege contra a descoloração da pele;
  • Melhora a textura da pele.

Os produtos com Vitamina C contêm este ingrediente em várias possíveis "formas", neste caso, o Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop contém 5% de ascorbic acid, uma dessas variações de vitamina C.

The best thing about trying out and getting to know new products is that we are always learning more about the ingredients and their functions. Vitamin C works as an antioxidant that helps regenerate other antioxidants in the organism. We know that it is an important vitamin in health, but the benefits to the skin are also many. Such as in the treatment of burns, wounds and sunburns. It helps in the treatment of eczema, protects against skin discoloration and improves skin texture. Vitamin C products contain this ingredient in several possible "forms," in which case Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop contains 5% ascorbic acid, one of the vitamin C variations.

Novamente a Klairs aposta num aspeto bastante simples e apelativo quanto ao packaging. Os pormenores holográficos agradam-me particularmente (holosexual here). A embalagem, apesar de não ser de vidro (preferia que fosse, admito), é de um plástico bastante resistente que quase passa por vidro. Quanto à consistência do produto, é bastante líquido e leve, como o serum que é. Um ponto muito positivo é o facto de não ter fragrância. Faz todo o sentido, dado que é uma gama direcionada para todos os tipos de pele, incluindo as mais sensíveis.

Once again, the packaging is rather simple and appealing. The holographic details particularly please me (holosexual here). Although it is not glass (I preferred it to be, I admit), is a fairly tough plastic that almost passes as glass. As for the consistency of the product, it is quite liquid and light, like the serum it is. A very positive point is the fact that it does not have fragrance. It makes perfect sense, since it is a range aimed at all skin types, including the most sensitive.

How to use 
For Normal / Combination to Oily Skin: After cleansing, apply an amount of about half the dropper to the entire face area. Gently massage into the entire face using the palms and body heat to work into the skin. 

For Sensitive Skin: After cleansing, prep the skin with toner and apply about 3-4 droplets of the Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop evenly onto the skin. For extra sensitive skin, try mixing a few drops into preferred serum or lotion until the skin is used to the product.


A Klairs faz algumas recomendações (que segui à risca) antes de começar a utilizar o Vitamin Drop. Recomendam aplicar à noite e, se usado de dia, reforçam a ideia de aplicar protetor solar após. Outro ponto referido é, caso se trate da primeira vez com este tipo de produto com vitamina C, é possível sentir um ligeiro formigueiro nas primeiras utilizações (senti precisamente isso nas primeiras vezes que apliquei o serum). Não é, de todo, recomendado fazer uso de esfoliantes com AHA e BHA antes de aplicar o Viamin Drop, dado que a pele pode ficar facilmente irritada.

Klairs makes some recommendations (which I have followed) before starting to use the Vitamin Drop. It is recommended to apply at night and, if used during the day, the idea to apply sunscreen after is reinforced. Another point mentioned is, if it is the first time with this type of product with vitamin C, you can feel a slight tingling in the first uses (I felt this in the first few times I applied the serum). It is not at all recommended to use exfoliating AHA and BHA before applying Vitamin Drop as the skin can easily become irritated.


Results

Estes benefícios parecem muito apelativos, right? O importante é: funciona? A minha experiência tem sido verdadeiramente agradável com ambos os produtos que tenho utilizado da Klairs. O Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop tem-me ajudado muito (mesmo muito) a reduzir marcas de acne e a melhorar a textura da pele. É de referir que estou a usá-lo há cerca de oito semanas, e ainda não cheguei a meio da embalagem. É claro que esta melhoria na minha pele pode não se dever somente ao serum, mas sim a todo o cuidado que tenho mantido com ela. No entanto, o que realmente confirmo, é que desde que introduzi o Vitamin Drop na minha rotina, as melhorias são notórias. O meu acne tem estado bastante calmo nos últimos tempos, e ver as manchinhas cada vez menos visíveis é especialmente gratificante.

These benefits seem very appealing, right? The important thing is: does it work? My experience has been truly enjoyable with both of the products that I have been using from Klairs. Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop has helped me (a lot) to reduce acne marks and improve skin texture. I have been using it for about eight weeks, and I still have not gotten halfway through the bottle. Of course, this improvement in my skin may not be due solely to the serum, but to all the care I have taken with my skin lately. However, what I really confirm is that since I introduced Vitamin Drop into my routine, the improvements are noticeable.
