Zoeva Graphic Brows / Arsenic (Brow Pencil)

Andava à procura do "brow pencil" perfeito até me deparar com os Graphic Brows da Zoeva. Até então, praticamente todos os lápis de sobrancelhas que experimentava tinham sempre um tom muito quente e grande parte das vezes eram excessivamente cremosos e pigmentados (fáceis de exagerar na hora de preencher as sobrancelhas). Escolhi o tom Arsenic por ser um castanho frio e fiquei incrivelmente surpreendida com tudo neste lápis.


I was looking for the perfect "brow pencil" until I came across Zoeva's Graphic Brows. Until then, all the eyebrow pencils I tried had a very warm brown color and most of the time it was excessively creamy and pigmented (easy to overdo the eyebrows). I chose the shade Arsenic since it is a cold brown and I was incredibly surprised with everything about it.


A Zoeva é uma marca alemã cruelty free maioritariamente conhecida pelos seus pincéis. O primeiro produto da marca que experimentei foi precisamente um pincel de olhos e, mais tarde, apaixonei-me pela paleta Cocoa Blend. Em 2016 publiquei uma review sobre ela aqui. A marca tem vários produtos totalmente vegan e este graphic brow é um deles (os produtos que são vegan estão devidamente identificados no site deles). Existem 4 tons distintos. / Zoeva is a german cruelty free brand mostly known for its brushes. The first product of the brand I tried was precisely an eye brush, and later I fell in love with the "Cocoa Blend" palette. In 2016 I published a review of it here. The brand has several vegan products and this graphic brow is one of them (products that are vegan are properly identified on their website). There are 4 different shades.

"The long lasting ZOEVA Graphic Brow Arsenic sculpts and perfects brows with a waterproof, smudge-proof formula in grayish taupe for cool, blonde to ash brown hair. Ensuring a rich color payoff, the ultra fine, retractable pencil creates precise strokes, mimicking the natural hair and filling in the brows with ease, while the spiral brush grooms into shape and softens the color – for a natural-looking, uniformly dense and well defined brow. The formulation of the brow pencil is enriched with vitamin E and C and is 100% free of animal-derived ingredients, mineral oils, preservatives and volatiles."


O facto da ponta do lápis ser tão fininha permite-me uma precisão imensa ao preencher as sobrancelhas. Isso aliado ao facto de ter uma pigmentação muito suave e não ser demasiado "waxy". Além disso, na outra ponta trás a escovinha em espiral (que é ótima), que ajuda tanto no começo (para pentear os pelinhos), como no fim (para esfumar a cor e deixar as sobrancelhas com um aspeto o mais natural possível). O tom mais escuro a seguir ao Arsenic é o Bistre e, possivelmente também funcionaria bem com o meu tom de sobrancelhas. Mas pelas swatches que tinha visto, o Arsenic tem mesmo o subtom perfeito para mim. Trata-se de um lápis retrátil e, mesmo que possa parecer ter pouco produto, dura imenso tempo.


The fact that the pencil tip is so thin gives me immense precision when filling my eyebrows. This allied to having a very soft pigment and not being too "waxy". In addition, at the other end of the pencil, there's a spiral brush, which helps both at the beginning (to comb the hairs) and at the end (to blend the color and make the eyebrows look as natural as possible). The darkest shade following Arsenic is Bistre, and it could possibly work well with my eyebrows. However, Arsenic has the perfect undertone for me. It is a retractable pencil and, although it may seem to have little product, it lasts a very long time.


Estou totalmente rendida e, a verdade é que não ouço nem vejo muitas pessoas a falar dos Graphic Brows da Zoeva, tanto que inicialmente estava a pensar em experimentar os Micro Brow Pencils da Nyx por serem tão comparados com os Brow Wiz da Anastasia Beverly Hills (acredito que estes da Zoeva também sejam muito comparáveis). As minhas sobrancelhas estão longe de parecer aquelas sobrancelhas perfeitas de instagram, mas na foto em baixo podem ver o resultado daquilo que costumo fazer diariamente. Geralmente só preencho as falhas e melhoro um pouco formato das sobrancelhas. Depois de usar o lápis, finalizo com gel transparente para fixar. De momento estou a usar um da Milani mas não é de todo um favorito. Alguém tem recomendações de algum gel de sobrancelhas top (e cruelty free)?


I love it, and the truth is that I do not see many people talking about Zoeva's Graphic Brows, so much so that I was initially thinking of trying the Nyx Micro Brow Pencils because they are so compared to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz (I believe that these from Zoeva might also be very comparable). My eyebrows are far from the perfect instagram eyebrows, but in the picture above you can see the result of what I do every day. Generally I only fill in the flaws and improve a little  the eyebrow shape. After using the pencil, I finish with transparent gel to hold them. At the moment I am using one from Milani but it is not at all a favorite. Does anyone have recommendations for some great (and cruelty free) eyebrow gel? Have you ever heard from this graphic brows from Zoeva? What's your favorite brow product?
