Em 2017 descobri produtos de skincare fantásticos que têm resultado às mil maravilhas com a minha pele. É precisamente desses produtos que venho falar hoje. São quatro e todos eles de marcas cruelty free: Martina Gebhardt Naturkosmetik, The Ordinary e Mario Badescu. Continuem a ler se quiserem saber um pouco mais acerca de cada um.
In 2017 I discovered fantastic skincare products that have done wonders for my skin. This post is precisely about those products. They are four and all of them are from cruelty free brands: Martina Gebhardt Naturkosmetik, The Ordinary and Mario Badescu. Keep reading if you'd like to know a little more about each one. 


EYE CARE CREAM
Martina Gebhardt Naturkosmetik

Descobri este creme no início de 2017 através da Vita33 e tornou-se de imediato o meu creme de olhos favorito. É muito denso e hidratante e promete manter a pele lisa, elástica e prevenir rugas prematuras. Tem óleo de abacate e inúmeras vitaminas, e sei que fez uma diferença enorme na minha pele. Antes de o começar a utilizar, essa era a zona mais desidratada do meu rosto (not anymore). Além disso, as minhas ruguinhas abaixo dos olhos estão muito menos acentuadas. O facto de ter uma textura tão densa torna este creme perfeito para usar à noite (e dura imenso tempo pois basta uma pequena quantidade). Também funciona bem de dia, por baixo da maquilhagem (mas a marca tem uma versão deste creme mais líquida que acredito ser perfeita para o dia-a-dia).

I discovered this cream last year and it instantly became my favorite eye cream. It's very dense and moisturizing and it claims to keep the skin smooth, elastic and to prevent premature wrinkles. It has avocado oil and numerous vitamins and I know it made a huge difference in my skin. Before I started to use it, this was the most dehydrated area of my face (not anymore). Also, my wrinkles below the eyes are much less pronounced. The fact that it has such a dense texture makes this cream perfect to use at night (and lasts a long time, since a small amount is enough). It also works well by day, under makeup.

The Ordinary

É a primeira vez que menciono esta marca por aqui mas, foi também em 2017 que comecei a experimentar The Ordinary (sei que tem havido algum drama com a marca, not sure how I feel about that yet). Este primeiro produto em questão é um tratamento peeling que promete melhorar a textura da pele, a luminosidade e o tom. Foi a minha estreia nos ácidos (lol) e realmente pode ser um pouco assustador ao início. Utiliza-se como máscara e só deve ser usado no máximo duas vezes por semana (eu uso uma) e não podemos exceder o tempo de 10 minutos (geralmente não passo dos 8). Pica um bocadinho na pele mas os resultados são incríveis. Pele lisinha, mais luminosa, textura reduzida e manchas de acne a desaparecer! Por ser tão "agressiva" não é recomenda a peles sensíveis.

It's the first time I mention this brand here but it was also in 2017 that I started to try The Ordinary (I know there has been some drama with the brand, not sure how I feel about that yet). This first product is a peeling treatment that promises to improve skin texture, luminosity and tone. It was my debut on acids (lol) and it really can be a bit scary at first. It is used as a mask and should only be used at most twice a week (I use one) and we can not exceed 10 minutes (usually I never  keep it more than 8). It stings a little bit but the results are incredible. Smoother, lighter skin, reduced texture and acne scars start to disappear! Being so "aggressive" it is not recommended to sensitive skin.

O meu segundo produto favorito da marca é este óleo. E foi também a minha estreia nos óleos! O óleo de rosa mosqueta tem um alto poder de cicatrização e regeneração, reduzindo sinais de envelhecimento bem como de manchas na pele - era precisamente isto que eu procurava. Tenho imensas manchas de acne (agora tenho muitas menos, graças a estes dois produtos) e ainda me ajuda a manter a pele mais hidratada. Gosto especialmente de o usar à noite pois noto que precisa do seu tempo para absorver na totalidade. Tinha algum receio de não gostar do cheiro pois geralmente produtos com rosa mosqueta são intensos. Este tem um aroma bastante suave e a mim não me incomodou de todo. Tornou-se um essencial para mim, uso muito frequentemente, tanto que já tive que comprar outra embalagem.

My second favorite product from the brand is this oil. And it was also my debut in trying oils! Rosehip oil has a high healing and regenerating power, reducing signs of aging as well as spots on the skin - that is precisely what I was looking for. I have lots of acne scars (now I have less, thanks to these two products) and it also helps me keeping my skin moisturized. I especially like using it at night because I notice that it needs its time to absorb. I was a bit scared of not liking the scent because generally products with rose hip have an intense smell. This one has a very mild aroma and it did not bother me at all. It has become a must for me. I use it very often, so I already had to buy a new one.


FACIAL SPRAY WITH ALOE, CUCUMBER AND GREEN TEA

Não é a primeira vez que menciono o facial spray da Mario Badescu, em Setembro partilhei os primeiros produtos que experimentei da marca e falei dele, mas na versão com herbs & rosewater - igualmente incrível. Depois desse terminar quis experimentar o de aloe, pepino e chá verde (fiquei igualmente apaixonada). Honestamente não consigo escolher o meu favorito, gosto de ambos os aromas e sinto que ambos fazem o mesmo na minha pele: dão um boost incrível de hidratação e glow. Acho que é perfeito para usar após finalizar a limpeza de pele (antes dos hidratantes) e também é ótimo para finalizar a maquilhagem e deixar tudo fresh e luminoso. Não vivo sem!

It's not the first time I mention Mario Badescu's facial spray. In September I shared the first products I tried from the brand and I mentioned the version with herbs & rosewater - equally incredible. After that, I wanted to try the one with aloe, cucumber and green tea. I was equally in love! I honestly can not pick a favorite, I like both scents and I feel both do the same on my skin: they give an incredible boost of hydration and glow. I think it's perfect to use after cleansing the skin (before moisturizing) and it's also great to finish the make-up and making everything fresh and glowy. I can not live without it!
